You want to know if Autodesk® Architectural Desktop 3.3 software is supported on the Windows® XP Professional operating system.



Solution

Autodesk Architectural Desktop 3.3 is compatible with Windows XP Professional and is supported by Autodesk. 

Following is a list of the known Autodesk Architectural Desktop 3.3 issues that only occur when using Windows XP Professional:

  • Customers using slower systems that are close to or below the minimum requirements for Windows XP Professional may experience display artifacts while moving objects. The display artifacts are eliminated after the REGEN command is issued. This problem can be resolved by improving the video-related performance on the system, which is heavily influenced by the video card and display drivers being used.
  • If an operating system is upgraded to Windows XP Professional, the Plotter Manager and Plot Style Manager commands are disabled. To restore the functionality of these commands, you must uninstall and reinstall Autodesk Architectural Desktop 3.3 after the operating system is upgraded.
  • In Add dialog boxes, the Pushpin icon, which controls the rollup functionality of dialog boxes, is not displayed when the default Windows XP theme is used.  Please note that the option to enable or disable the rollup functionality is available by right-clicking in the header of an Add dialog box.

    The related solutions cover known AutoCAD® 2002 issues that occur only with the Windows XP Professional operating system.

At this time, Autodesk is not testing Autodesk Architectural Desktop 3.3 on the Windows XP Home operating system.
